To encourage the transformation of lives by assisting veterans in need to overcome barriers to successful living.
Our history
NCLW began in September of 2019. Our first sober home for veterans was opened on January 10, 2020. In the first three years we have served 12 veterans who have gained employment, maitained sobriety, and worked to overcome barriers from their pasts.
Our mission
Our mission is to create a 100 home community to serve veterans experiencing homelessness to assist in creating a "funtional zero" status in Oklahoma City where there would be more housing available than the number of homeless veterans on the streets. Our focus is to provide wrap around services such as substance abuse groups, mental health, employment and other resources to the veterans on campus or in their homes. The homes will be low income based and all bills paid to assist the veteans in affording rent, and each home will have a yard to allow veterans to bring their beloved animals with them.
